There are some salty Lewis Hamilton haters on twitter this morning.
People who don't seem to understand the rules of overtaking off track.

{Ed001's Note - some people just don't like him and I don't know why, no matter what he does he gets grief for it.}

I agree Hamilton was good yesterday and the win was well deserved. However I'm more pissed at the match direction. The rules regarding track limits need to be black and white, there can't be a grey area. Lewis did gain an advantage by constantly going wide at turn 4 for multiple laps. In my view that did allow him to improve his times a tenth of a second every lap.
The race however was lost by a mixture Verstappens over eagerness and redbulls risky late pit strategy. The lad should have waited a a little while longer before making his move. He didn't need to do it at turn 4.
PS: Given that finally redbull have a bloody fine second driver, the contructor title is redbulls to lose given how much of a poor driver Bottas is. Hamilton vs Verstappen is close. Bottas vs Checo is going only one way.

{Ed001's Note - the rules regarding track limits are black and white. It is, as usual, the application of the rules that causes the problems. The track limits should be adhered to at every corner on every track, but the stewards are lazy and allow certain corners to become 'negotiable'. The overtake is a different thing, they always enforce that and Verstappen knew that, he was just hoping they would simply give him a 5 second time penalty instead. Personally I don't think they should ever give a 5 second penalty unless it is the final lap or the driver doesn't have a chance to give the place back. There have been a number of races a driver has managed to gain extra points by overtaking off the track and just taking the 5 second penalty, as gifting the place back costs the 5 seconds plus you then have to overtake all over again.}

Agreed on the 5 sec penalt. That's just useless, if the guy overtaking has fresher tyres and has enough time to extend the lead.
One thing's for sure, Verstappen is going mature a hell of a as a driver.
Also a slot out to Leclerc, he looks good.

{Ed001's Note - it is going to be good to see the Leclerc/Verstappen rivalry grow in the future.}
