I see Flavio Briatore is trying to take the credit for convincing Benetton to take on Michael Schumacher as no one else believed in the then-youngster. Utter crock of ****. He never believed in Schumacher either but Mercedes paid him and Benetton to take Schumacher, as they had done previously at Jordan. They wanted to get him a more competitive car from the start but knew he needed to prove himself, so they paid Jordan to use him. Once he had done well there for a couple of races they were able to persuade Benetton and Briatore to take him. It was not Briatore that did it, it was Schumacher's performances that convinced them to take a chance on Schumacher and Mercedes' funding.}

Hasn't Flavio been known to contradict himself a lot? Or is that the another former Ferrari guy?
